About the Department
The Design and Computing Faculty is a combination of two subjects, Design and Technology and Computing. Following on directly from the junior school we teach a range of skills at Key Stage three ranging from Design, graphics, resistant materials, CAD, coding, video editing, app design and the use of hardware and Software. We are incredibly well resourced boasting two workshops 5 computer suits, laser cutters 3D printers large bed CNC routers.
At key stage 4 and 5 we then split into different areas where IGCSE resistant materials and ICT are taught. Which then leads into Design and Technology and ITGS courses. In the IB many students go on to top design universities as a result to study courses in Engineering, Design and Architecture.
